Welcome to the Emerald Coast of Florida, Destin and Santa Rosa Beach, a truly year round fishing destination. Chances are you came here to enjoy our blindingly white sand beaches and crystalline emerald waters......but there are fish out there beyond the rows of umbrellas and sunburned tourists. Lots of them. We'd like to put you on some of the really tough ones. These are not bass and bream species either, these fish take line ......and lots of it. Every time. Fish that not only have to fight every day to eat, but have to fight everything else just to live. Mean Fish. Fish that are just flat-out tough in every way. Big enough to put a bend in any rod and fight you all the way to the gunwale.

These are the Angry Fish.Angry Fish Charters provides the most complete and flexible charter operations anywhere on the Gulf Coast. With a brand new fleet of Regulator(tm) and Pathfinder(tm) center console boats as well as Hewes flats skiffs, we can provide you with dry, fast, safe and reliable angling platforms for fishing the varying weather and sea conditions. With this versatile fleet, we can tailor your trip to best meet your criteria, target species and method of angling preference. Inshore, offshore, nearshore. From fly fishing to conventional gear, redfish to pelagics, your trip will be planned to meet your parameters.

Our Captains: Gordie Hinds, Jason Woodham, Micky Neill, Bubba Harris and Chuck Walthall
All of guides are tournament champions. USCG Captains that can provide a memorable trip for the species of your choosing.......after all, it is your trip. We are very, very proud of our guides; they are polite, patient and possess a thorough knowledge of (we won't say all) things piscatorial. They are generally found in a relatively festive mood and nearly always combine enough guttural grunts with universal sign language to pass for the Queen's English.

We take kids on trips.......we do it all the time and quite honestly, we enjoy it. Having said that, please understand that even though they are your children, sense of humor failures can, and do, readily occur at times with children of all ages. It is our intent to provide as pleasurable an experience for all as is humanly possible. However, at some point, the Captain will have to make a decision as to who he makes happiest. It is common for us to lean toward taking a "women and children first" attitude in this scenario, often at the expense of the paying client. Case in point: Man books trip with the predetermined objective of getting young son into fish..... any fish is fine, just a bent rod. Dad is just along for the ride.........until the tarpon show up......in droves. Son is dispatched to cockpit, while Dad fires up the fly rod. Captain, trying to be all things to all people on board at all times, allows son to cast to schools of ladyfish, (heeding original directive), until Dad hooks fairly large tarpon which immediately wraps around son's ladyfish-engaged line and breaks off. The silence is palpable and a boat full of depression firmly takes hold. Stuff happens out there. Fortunately for all concerned in this case, the mutually felt disappointment was dispelled with the knowledge that a lifelong memory was just made. Also please understand that while we cater to children, we really aren't babysitters and all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sure, it's common sense to you.....

"I should've been a dolphin watch guide.........."

We don't know if all guides can claim this lament, but there are times when wind, weather and the viscisitudes of nature cause us to question our calling. It happens. Just know that we hate a bad day worse than you do. Honest, it's a lot easier for us to have you enjoy your trip than to apologize for elements outside our realm of control. There aren't any guarantees other than we will give you the best effort and the benefit of our knowledge and abilities at every opportunity.

"light tackle and fly fishing......bent rods are indeed a good thing, Martha....."

Light tackle spinfishing and fly fishing in saltwater is not for the inexperienced. Sure, it's fun....maybe as much fun as one can have standing up, but it's not without it's frustrations either. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, we will be delighted to coach, guide and patiently work toward making this happen for you. As former full-time fly casting instuctors, we are qualified to assist you in combining your skill level with a target species and environment conducive to success. Remember, while it is very helpful to possess the ability to drop a crosswind cast into a beer can at 90 feet, it isn't necessary. Conversely however, anglers should be able to cast the entire nine feet of leader (and yes, it must be outside the boat) if the intention is to induce a strike from anything but the inside of the livewell. If you are truly an experienced fly fishing enthusiast, you generally already know the drill; exasperation can, and does, thwart the best of intentions. "The worst day fishing...." and all that.
